Armie Hammer as Finnick Odair, and Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen.
While reading the books I imagined Finnick as Armie Hammer. I don’t mind if Finnick is cast as someone else and I know he probably will be. I just hope they don’t screw it up because Finnick was the only character I truly fell in love with in the series.
I actually think out of majority of the people fantasy cast as Finnick, Armie has a better chance than most, because he’s a reputable actor, whereas about 90% of the others are just starting out, or have less than stellar reputations. Also factor in that THG’s supporting cast is populated by semi well known, to well known actors, like Stanley Tucci, Woody, Wes Bentley, Elizabeth Banks, and then there’s Lenny who’s just a rock star, and everyone knows who he is. In all likelihood Finnick will be cast with an actor who has a presence, not an unknown, or a barely known. It would also be putting a hell of a lot of things to chance if they cast an actor who has little to no experience with a franchise, or a role as demanding as Finnick or THG — especially after seeing how and knowing how huge it is going to be. In the case of established roles/castings, like Jennifer and Josh — those were not choices that were put to chance, because they had both proved them selves a million times over in previous performances — the only chance taking was for them personally having to give up their privacy and a lot of sleep.
Ah ha, Armie and Helena are going to be working together very soon. Please say this is a sign to the positive!?
Seeing Josh and Jennifer in their Opening Ceremonies garb for the 74th Hunger Games, just makes me itchy to see our top choice for Finnick in his ridiculously strategically placed gold net for the 75th Hunger Games. God knows if they keep Judianna on as costume designer it’ll be more than fabulous - and Armie will look absolutely fantastic.
